DESCRIPTION:The Mower County Historical Society invites you to the annual Spring Bonnet Tea on Saturday\, May 1\, at 1 p.m. located at Faith Church Youth Ministry Building at 1805 12th St. SW\, Austin.\n\n\n\nTrue to tradition\, the Spring Bonnet Tea brings back the days of ladies in bonnets\, a relaxed atmosphere and delicious food topped with a cup of tea.  Women and children are invited to wear their best dress\, add a hat and a smile.  Photo opportunities will be available.  Door prizes will be given away again this year!\n\n\n\nThe Mower County Historical Society\, with the help of Maurices and Twice As Nice\, will present a spring style show during the event.  Attendees will get the chance to see what these two local stores have to offer in their spring clothing line.  The Cosmetology Department from Riverland Community College will have a display featuring hairstyles from yesteryear.  Do you like gardening?  There will be a brief container gardening demonstration prior to the style show.  Floral arrangements will be on display from Johnson Floral.  The event is also being supported by the Mower County Shopper.\n\n\n\nTickets for this event are currently available at the Mower County Historical Society office\, located on the east side of the fairgrounds\, during regular hours Tuesday-Friday 10 AM to 4 PM.  The cost is $10 per adult and $3.50 per child under 12.  Tickets can be purchased at the door but it is requested that ticket reservations be made prior to Monday\, April 26.\n\n\n\nCome enjoy this great pre-Mother?s Day event with your grandmother\, mother\, daughter\, granddaughter\, friends\, or neighbors!
