About Us
Sparking innovation, celebrating culture, and connecting creativity! Austin Area Arts is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing the vibrant local arts scene in Austin, MN, and the surrounding region. We firmly believe that the arts have the power to improve lives, enrich our community, and bring people together through shared cultural experiences.
We are the proud stewards of two monumental downtown creative hubs: the Historic Paramount Theatre, a beautiful, fully restored 1929 performance venue showcasing live music, comedy, dance, and movies; and the Austin ArtWorks Center, a three-story downtown visual arts space. The ArtWorks Center features a retail gallery representing over 100 local artists, rotating fine art gallery exhibits, a clay studio cavern, and educational art classes for all ages. We also host the annual Austin ArtWorks Festival each August, bringing thousands of visitors together. Explore, learn, and create with us today!
