The Austin Area Foundation is a community-focused 501(c)(3) public nonprofit charitable organization dedicated to building a vibrant, thriving future for Mower County and the greater Austin, MN region. Our mission is to connect generous donors with the local causes they care about most, ensuring a permanent resource for community enrichment and a high quality of life for generations to come.
We provide vital support and partner directly with local nonprofit organizations to address urgent basic needs such as food, shelter, and clothing. Additionally, we actively invest in initiatives that enhance local education, the environment, cultural arts, and youth and family services. By helping community members establish customized Donor Advised Funds and permanent Endowments, we make long-term charitable giving simple, flexible, and impactful. Together, we are transforming the hopes and dreams of our neighbors into a lasting local legacy.
