About Us
SEMCAC is a community action agency serving southeastern Minnesota by providing programs and services that support individuals and families with low incomes. The organization focuses on reducing barriers to self-sufficiency through assistance with housing, energy bills, transportation, employment support, and early childhood education programs. SEMCAC also operates initiatives such as Head Start and other family development services aimed at helping children prepare for school while supporting parents with resources and stability. In addition, the agency connects residents to emergency assistance programs and community-based support services designed to improve overall well-being and financial security. With a strong local presence, SEMCAC works in partnership with counties, cities, and other nonprofit organizations to strengthen communities across the region.
