Pay Range:                        $58,235.14 - $83,193.06 (2024 pay scale)
Please note:                       Actual starting pay will be determined at the time of offer based on the experience,                                             education and training of the successful candidate.
 
Austin Utilities is seeking a talented and self-driven Dispatch & System Operations Controller to join our Utility Operations team.  The successful candidate will perform tasks associated with monitoring and controlling Austin Utilities systems and equipment. Additionally, employee will be tasked with managing Austin Utilities outage management process on a 24 x 7 basis, which includes receiving customer calls and responding appropriately through the dispatch of Austin Utilities staff. Finally, the employee is expected to work a rotating shift.
 
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Monitor and control of SCADA for the water, natural gas, and electric distribution system
• After hour calls, and responds to emergency situations and dispatch crews to include law enforcement, fire and paramedics as appropriate
• Monitors and activates load management system.
• Monitors system electrical and natural gas demands on a daily basis, and reports accordingly
