Grant Project Manager
Job Description
The Grant Project Manager will provide leadership for the implementation of Riverland’s Learn and Earn Initiative, which is a $1.95 million dollar grant funded program. This temporary role will lead the project team to implement new curriculum and educational pathways in the manufacturing and transportation sectors to increase opportunities for students to complete certificate and degree programs while also working at local industry partner businesses gaining critical on the job training. The Grant Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing grant administration, project implementation, budget management, and evaluation of the grant project.
Principle Responsibilities
1. Grant Administration - manage the full range of activities required to manage the Learn and Earn Initiative Federal Grant.
2. Manage and evaluate the Learn and Earn Initiative grant budget and financial plan as it relates to grant project and prepare reports as needed.
3. Grant Project Implementation - Provide day-to-day Learn and Earn Initiative grant activities working with administration, faculty, and support staff from Riverland Community College.
4. Grant Evaluation and Reporting.
5. Perform other duties as assigned to ensure the smooth functioning of the department and maintain the reputation of the organization as a viable business partner.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, management, or other appropriate discipline -OR- Associate degree plus two (2) years of grant and/or project management experience -OR- an equivalent combination of education and applicable professional work experience.
- Demonstrated project management skills with experience managing and supervising multiple simultaneous administrative projects.
- Proficiency in written and oral communication, including public speaking
- Demonstrated fiscal management expertise, including contract administration, developing and monitoring budgets and fiscal reporting.
- Commitment to diversity as well as a demonstrated ability to work successfully with persons of diverse backgrounds.
Preferred Qualification
- Master’s degree in a related discipline.
- Project management training or certification.
- Five (5) years of grant management experience; preferably oversight of federal grants.
- Bilingual/Multilingual fluent in Spanish, Somali, Karen, Anuak, Nuer or other languages that reflect our student body, workforce, and communities.
- Demonstrated experience working with a multicultural and underserved populations.
